Welcome to the New Snapizzi

Hello, friends of Snapizzi! It’s hard to believe the busy 2018 Fall season is almost upon us. For the last several months we’ve been heads down improving how Snapizzi works. We’re in the final phases of testing and excited to share what we’ve been up to, and a bit about what’s to come.

One of the biggest improvements we made is changing the way Snapizzi handles your images. Our current iteration relies on partner platforms to store Project images that we process. This will no longer be true.

The introduction of Snapizzi Stor earlier this year gave us the opportunity to change that. Snapizzi will attain complete autonomy by utilizing Stor and Push to decouple Projects from platforms. A processed “Master Project” will live in your Snapizzi account and no longer be married to a single platform. The images and data from the Project can be “pushed” to any partner platform or other available services in your workflow. This will enable you to utilize all of Snapizzi’s features without the need for a connected 3rd party e-commerce site. Users will also be able to migrate old Projects to Stor and gain the benefits of our new architecture.

Stor was initially priced at $10 per month for 1TB of storage as an add-on to your Snapizzi subscription. Going forward, Stor use will be included for all users at no additional charge.

The benefits of this Project portability will become more evident as we move forward.

To simplify the Inspector workspace, we used tabs and nested some of the tools and options. Separate tabs for Subject and Group photos will provide a more intuitive workflow.

Here’s a sneak peek.

There will be more details in the coming weeks as we update the Knowledge Base and other tutorials in preparation for deployment of the new version. We also updated the functionality of Sample Projects to automatically generate images for uploading—making testing and training easier for you and your team. These changes lay the foundation for some top-secret things we’ve been working on for you.

2019 is going to be transformational for Snapizzi. And the high-volume photography industry. Stay tuned.

That’s it for now. We’ll get back to making Snapizzi even better for you.

Introducing Snapizzi Stor

Hello, friends of Snapizzi! We’re excited to introduce Snapizzi Stor which enables you to use Snapizzi as a standalone solution without the need for a connected e-commerce platform.

Stor was purpose-built for photographers who use the pre-pay model for customer orders and are not posting images online.

Stor does not offer any customer-facing e-commerce features. Stor is simply a place where your Project images are stored rather than an e-commerce platform.

Once added, you’ll see the Snapizzi Stor option under the Wrench Menu > Photo Services:

You might be wondering what’s coming up next. Well, lots. You should expect to see even more value shipped your way this year. We’ll tackle some common requests you’ve been asking for along with features that will save you even more time!

We’re grateful for all your support on this journey to build something great. We promise to continue creating and growing through a human-centered approach—putting people and conversations at the center of everything we do.

Single Search Pages and Expanded Customization

I meant it when I said we have an aggressive roadmap planned for 2018! Hot on the heels of our big CSV update 5 days ago, I’m excited to announce another awesome release that features Single Search Pages for Projects.

While we were at it, we thought you’d also like it if we added 28 new points of customization for search pages. You can find these new controls under Wrench menu > Search Profile.

Once again, these improvements are a byproduct of listening to — and understanding — our users’ needs. So please let us know what you think. We love hearing from you.

Work Even Faster with Gallery Verify and Placeholder

Hello, friends of Snapizzi! Here’s what we’ve been working on lately to make Snapizzi even better.

Gallery Verify

We built the Gallery Verify tool so you can make sure all of the remote galleries on your connected platform are working properly. The tool will iterate through the Subject List testing if the remote galleries exist and are working. Snapizzi will attempt to repair any broken links.

Placeholder

The Placeholder tool will save your location anytime you invoke one of the Inspector Repair tools. Clicking it will bring you back to the location you were at when you first opened the tool so you don’t have to navigate through the Project pages to resume your work.

Show Hints

You’ll find this button at the top of the Dashboard and Inspector. It gives you quick, easy access to the Knowledge Base articles for all of the tools and features of the Dashboard and Inspector. You can also launch a tour of the Dashboard and Inspector to help you get the most out of Snapizzi.

We hope you like these improvements. We’ll get back to making Snapizzi even better for you! If you have any questions or suggestions, email success@snapizzi.com. We love hearing from you!

Pinning Simplifies Gallery Sharing

When using paper versions of Snapizzi’s camera cards, Subject galleries are easily shared by simply photographing all the Subject codes in the same keyframe image preceding the photo series you’d like to share.

However, there wasn’t a convenient way to do this when using Snapizzi Paperless without having to use multiple display devices or windows for each code — each of those options presented their own unique challenges. So we set out to solve that problem for our users.

Today we’re excited to announce our solution! Pinning makes it is easy to share Subject galleries on-the-fly when using Snapizzi Paperless. Pinning enables you to temporarily combine up to four Subject codes into a single code to be photographed. This means that up to three codes can be pinned to a fourth with the single matrix changing each time to reflect the shared galleries.

Read the Knowledge Base article to learn more about how this new feature works.

Paper Proofing for Groups, Project Metrics, and More!

Our latest release offers features and improvements that are just one more step in our relentless pursuit to make Snapizzi even better!  Paper proofing leveled-up again! You can now make proof sheets of Group photos. You have the option to proof only Subject images, only Group images, or both.

We’re also pleased to announce the Project Summary tool. This will give you insight into the metrics for your Projects, including data from your Studio Search Page showing the number of searches and successful forwards to your connected platform.

Other notable items:

  • Hovering over an image in any Repair Tool modal will magnify the image and display the filename. In case you didn’t already know, hovering over any code in these modals will also display the Subject data connected to that code.
  • Gallery naming is now supported for all platforms.
  • Added a dropdown field selection menu in the paper proofing modal.
  • Blog link added to the Dashboard.
  • Replaced the Task progress icon.

We hope you enjoy these new additions. You can expect more time-saving features in the coming weeks and months. If you don’t already have an account, get a free 14-day trial here.
